Imagine expands IBC presence; takes over RAI Amtrium

Imagine Communications is expanding its presence at the IBC2015 Conference and Exhibition, taking up exclusive residency in the newly constructed Amtrium at the RAI Amsterdam congress and exhibition center. Visitors to the RAI Amtrium, conveniently located between the IBC Content Everywhere Hub Theater and Hall 4, will experience interactive demonstrations of state-of-the-art technology from Imagine Communications and its partners, as well as an array of value-added events, including an extensive program of knowledge-sharing panels, discussions and keynotes.

“Our new location is the perfect venue for distraction-free, hands-on demos and presentations, and to showcase the latest innovations from our advertising, playout, networking and distribution solution portfolios,” said Imagine Communications CEO Charlie Vogt. “The Intersection of Innovation and Reality is a major focus for Imagine at this year’s show. This newly added facility to one of the media industry’s most venerable events is the ideal setting for demonstrating how we are helping media companies around the world transition gracefully to next-generation technologies at their own pace and with a focus on operating in hybrid networks to preserve and extend today’s investments in baseband.”

Imagine Communications will be hosting from its new location multiple presentation sessions featuring special guest speakers, strategic partners and panel discussions throughout the five-day event. Wide-ranging topics such as the Business Case for Transitioning to IP, Growing Ad Revenue in an Omniplatform World and Do more, Spend Less with Virtualized Master Control will be covered in the panels and keynotes in an intimate and interactive setting.

Demonstrations will include some exciting and never-seen-at-IBC innovations:

  • Future-proofed, standards-based signal distribution and routing solutions that enable video producers to deploy and manage hybrid SDI and IP-based infrastructures, ensuring a disruption-free IP transition at their own pace. Products highlighted will include Imagine Communication’s high-performance Platinum IP3 and VX routers, Platinum SX Pro Multiviewers, Selenio MCP processing products and Magellan SDN Orchestrator. Also on tap are live demonstrations of SMPTE 2022 parts 5, 6, 7 to implement transport of uncompressed video over IP,  as well as UHD routing and up and down conversion solutions.
  • Agile and cost-efficient storage, channel launch, master control and disaster recovery solutions deployable on-premises, in a remote data center, or virtualised in the cloud. Imagine Communications will introduce a unified control surface that brings new levels of efficiency to the master control room, as well as demonstrating new enhancements to its market-leading automation ADC and D-Series, and Versio Integrated Channel Playout running on 1RU commercial-off-the-shelf equipment. Imagine Communications will also showcase VersioCloud, which is powered by the Imagine Communications Zenium platform and enables more inventory, in more channels, to more geographies, for more viewers. Also demonstrated will be the company’s market-leading Nexio AMP video server and storage solution suite with NAS-as-a-SAN functionality to easily handle SD-to-UHD content encode and playback.
  • End-to-end linear and nonlinear multiscreen distribution, cloud DVR and ad management solutions that enable media companies to maximise monetisation of their new video content with new advertising delivery models. Imagine will showcase the latest capabilities of its Selenio product line, including real-time HD HEVC encoding, HEVC ABR transcoding, and high-quality linear compression, as well as SelelnioFlex Live running in a virtualized environment.  Imagine Communications will also demonstrate its Landmark families of flexible planning and campaign management tools to drive monetization across the entire sales cycle, including Landmark Analytics, which provides media-centric, predictive business intelligence to maximise ad sales and optimise revenue opportunities across linear and omniplatform environments.  The company’s market-proven CloudXtream platform — a flexible cloud DVR solution for ABR multiscreen with Dynamic Ad Insertion — will also be showcased.
