TVU Networks’ TVUMe makes European debut
TVU Networks will be presenting its new IP video marketplace TVUMe for the first time in Europe.
TVUMe enables broadcasters to find and purchase live or recorded video content online from other broadcasters, freelancers and independent production crews from around the world.
The concept behind TVUMe means that users can sell or trade recorded video content and sell live video streams via a simple interface allowing broadcasters and content owners to leverage their assets quickly and efficiently.
TVUMe has also been designed to allow production crews to list production services and equipment for future booking, giving broadcasters access to professional video crews around the globe at the desktop.
With TVUMe’s interactive map feature, broadcasters can search for content being produced in a particular location and then acquire the live video content from camera crews already shooting on site, allowing breaking news events to get to air faster.
At IBC2015, TVU will demonstrate several new features of the video online marketplace for the first time. This includes the ability for a user to click one button to choose to share their video content with just one party as an Exclusive or multiple interested parties using the multi-distribute option. In addition, users are now able to instantly share live video content with others through social media by simply sharing a unique URL. Viewers will be able to see the shared video without needing to log into TVUMe.
TVUMe contributors can download the free TVU Anywhere app on iOS, Android and Windows, to instantly stream live video to the TVUMe marketplace. TVU Anywhere turns a smart mobile device into a video transmitter and has the ability to aggregate all available bandwidth from cellular and WiFi connections, ensuring resilient transmission for a superior picture. TVUMe is fully integrated with TVU Anywhere, allowing news-gathering teams to communicate directly with the user in real time.
Paul Shen, CEO VP of TVU Networks says, “TVUMe expands the ability for broadcasters to deliver more live news coverage to viewers from more places and faster. TVUMe’s ability to facilitate real-time transactions between broadcasters and video content providers from a single web interface can capture and deliver breaking news with a click of a button. The new features we have added to TVUMe provides more management and control over content distribution, increasing the speed by which news can be shared.”
