Witbe releases latest scalable video monitoring technology
Witbe has unveiled its most scalable and affordable Video Monitoring Technology. This breakthrough was made possible by Witbe’s latest innovation, the W500, billed as its smallest Video Robot yet (55 x 210 x 125 mm).
Combined with Witbe Remote Eye Controller and Witbe Workbench, this technology enables broadcasters and operators to deploy hundreds of active monitoring locations everywhere and manage them from anywhere, without additional operation cost or any coding knowledge.
Any network operation centre now has the power to centrally manage all devices connected to any W500 (Set Top Box or Companion Device) as easily as if they were in the same room. Thanks to Witbe Remote Eye Controller, operation teams can also take control of any device, in order to perform live troubleshooting. Any discrepancy on TV Channel Availability or VoD Portal Access time detected by those active Robots can now be exhaustively confirmed before the End-Users ever reach the Customer Service.
Those tiny robots come packed with all of Witbe’s Expertise. When they are not used for live troubleshooting, the Witbe W500 robots run active black box Quality of Experience (QoE) tests on top channels and interactive services. They execute full HD analysis without downscaling as well as frame wise performance measurement. Furthermore, they are TR160 Monitoring ready and HDCP compliant, to work on any commercial STB, including any OTT Streaming Media Boxes. They are also completely autonomous for smart real-time monitoring.
“Since its creation 15 years ago, Witbe has gathered an unparalleled practical experience with more than a hundred operators. It has empowered us to conceive this new Technology as a significant breakthrough for their Operations teams, on both technical and profitability levels. It addresses the QoE issues of any range of operator, from local to worldwide ones, with affordable deployment costs and an unlimited scalability, with hundreds of monitoring points. Thanks to this new approach, Witbe expands its revolution to the Plug and Play Monitoring market”, said Marie-Véronique Lacaze, CEO of Witbe.
