IBC 2016: Elemental to Showcase Software-Defined Video Advances

At IBC 2016 Elemental Technologies will highlight video production, distribution and monetization advancements, both on-premises and in the cloud, to help video providers address transformative change sweeping the media and entertainment industry. Elemental and Amazon Web Services will exhibit together in Stand 5.C80.

To help video providers address viewer demand for the content they want, when they want it and on their preferred devices, Elemental will showcase the unique ability of software-defined video (SDV) to seamlessly integrate end-to-end video workflows from source to display device. Elemental will highlight innovations including: SDI over IP implemented with SMPTE 2022-6 for efficient transport of real-time media over IP networks; high quality HEVC 4Kp60 4:2:2 10-bit encoding; live channel playout on-premises and from the cloud; deep integration with Amazon S3 for file-to-live workflows; and live virtual reality (VR) content ingest and processing.

Elemental’s expanding video delivery capabilities will be showcased as well, including: digital video broadcast (DVB) solutions, high dynamic range (HDR); and content playout with Amazon CloudFront. Lastly, future innovations including 8K video processing in the cloud and dynamic ad insertion will also be featured on the show floor.

Technical Paper at IBC conference

As part of the IBC technical papers program in the main conference, Lionel Bringuier, Director of Product Management at Elemental, will deliver a paper, “Increasing Ad Personalization with Server-Side Ad Insertion”.
