IBC 2016: EVS to show latest in IP connected live production, new 4K, HDR toolset

During IBC 2016, EVS’s stand (8.B90) will act as an IP-enabled hub showcasing live media flows that connect live sports venues, broadcast center control rooms and consumers. By connecting the live environment, EVS technology enables better storytelling and an enriched viewing experience.

EVS_LOGO_CMYKIntroduced this summer at international flagship sporting events, C-Next is the new live connected tool that reflects the power of EVS’ IP4Live strategic initiative. This contribution network platform gives remote teams the ability to share files and metadata content over IP, from any OB truck, broadcast centre or production HQ.

EVS will also demonstrate its new-generation IPWeb – a remote access application that lets users browse and select content no matter where they are – and the IT/software-based, fully scalable architecture of its innovative production switcher DYVI. Enabling more creative and productive program assembly based on a pooled resources model, DYVI will be demonstrated in full 4K/UHD mode on the EVS stand.

EVS’ newsroom production solutions, including the latest features of its IPDirector live content management system for multiformat and multisource ingest, will be demonstrated at stand 8.B90 and will power IBC TV’s ingest, playout and multimedia delivery. The EVS stand will also host a data center connected through fiber to the IBC TV studio in hall 13 and the VRT-EBU LiveIP studio located on stand 8.D10.

Showcasing the fast, efficient nature of EVS’ live officiating tool Xeebra, the #EVSlamDunk Experience will be brought to IBC for the first time. The immersive basketball arena uses EVS technology to put visitors right at the heart of the action. Attempt a basket on the FIBA-endorsed court and see how EVS’ live tools can enhance the decision making and storytelling of its users.

EVS will also present its industry-leading live production servers, including the new XT4K server with its flexible multiformat configurations for either 4K/UHD or Full HD 1080p live productions. This advanced server offers 10bit codec native support for HDR operations and 12G-SDI connectivity. EVS will also deploy its entire range of live tools, which have all been upgraded to support 4K/UHD production workflows and help production crews to enhance their storytelling on the fly.
