IBC 2016: Kyrion, TITAN Encoders to Headline ATEME’s Booth
At the upcoming IBC Show in Amsterdam ATEME – provider of HEVC, H.264, MPEG-2 video compression solutions for broadcast, cable, DTH, IPTV and OTT – will be showcasing a host of its products on booth D.71, Hall 1. Key to this year’s focus is two product areas – Kyrion and TITAN.
The Kyrion range features encoder and decoder solutions that have been specifically designed for contribution over satellite, fibre, and internet networks. The products also include quick start-up, ultra-low latency, ABR output and Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) that ensures high quality OTT streaming. The latest updates to the range will be revealed at the show — including support for HEVC via an easy-to-install software upgrade.
The other focus on stand will be the TITAN solutions, including TITAN Mux and TITAN Edge. ATEME’s pure-software encoding solutions, highlighted by the TITAN software family, can run on any commercial off-the-shelf server, in any environment, removing all infrastructure constraints. ATEME’s “building block” approach provides more flexibility, as software modules can be combined as needed: any input/output, any CODEC, any resolution, from an encoder to a video headend in a box.
TITAN Mux is a virtualized multi-function software stream processor that is key in the video headend as it aggregates and prepares the streams that will be sent to the physical layer. This solution is available on a pay as you grow model, making it easy to add functionality and increase density via a simple software licence.
TITAN Edge is a virtualized integrated receiver decoder transcoder that combines decoding, encoding, multiplexing, time-shifting, advertising, and packaging functionalities together. TITAN Edge is the all-in-one solution that simplifies network architecture and workflows, bringing cost-efficiency and simplification to operations.
