Net Insight has announced that it is to strengthen its offering with an ultra-high capacity hardware module and new video processing applications.
The company claims the new products and applications will enter service with customers seeking to simplify operations and reduce the cost of high bandwidth video processing over 100 Gbps IP networks. Net Insight believes that customers will additionally benefit from the availability of up to 20 10/25 GbE interfaces per module, allowing for more connectivity and workflow flexibility.
Based on Net Insight’s Terabit media platform, the Nimbra 1000 series, the first applications for the Media Acceleration Module will introduce support for SMPTE baseband video and SMPTE IP video.
The Nimbra 1000, is part of Net Insight’s ongoing cloud, IP and virtualisation program and will receive continuous delivery of new virtual functions and function-features. These new capabilities will be rolled out for the new Media Acceleration Module as well as the current high-capacity Media Acceleration and Media Processing Modules.
