ISE 2026: Calrec to showcase flexible IP ecosystem

Calrec’s ISE 2026 presentation will showcase a live ecosystem that integrates Argo consoles networked with an ImPulse1 IP processing core, and ImPulseV virtualised audio mixing engine. With the company’s flexible True Control 2.0 delivering seamless connectivity, Calrec will demonstrate how broadcasters, sports organisations, houses of worship, education establishments and others can streamline workflows, boost creativity, reduce costs and adapt to today’s dynamic media landscape.

Transforming workflows to enable fully remote and distributed production, True Control 2.0 allows users to control any Calrec system from any location, giving access to more cores, faders, surfaces and control to meet any production requirement.

It delivers full feature-set control parameters over EQ, dynamics, routing, direct outputs and delay. Broadcasters and AV professionals can scale production ecosystems quickly, supporting distributed workflows with a deep level of remote control. A single controller can manage up to five other consoles or processing cores simultaneously, expanding functionality without extra hardware investment.

A virtualised DSP core in a cloud-native AWS environment, ImPulseV virtualised audio mixing engine is accessible globally. ImPulseV uses the same familiar Calrec user interface and can be controlled via the company’s Assist web UI or directly from any Argo or True Control 2.0 enabled console.

Delivering the full Calrec broadcast feature set directly in the cloud with premium audio quality, it reduces reliance on physical hardware. Optimised for low latency throughput, real-time audio processing, control routing and mixing, ImPulseV allows resources to be flexed for major events. Its cost-effective opex model also opens opportunities for smaller productions that may have been previously financially challenging.

Calrec will also demonstrate its 36-fader Argo S console at the show, which is sporting a new software update. Built for demanding broadcast environments, Argo S is a modular, IP-native audio console. With enough customisable hands-on real estate to deliver control over every parameter of the audio mix, Argo S is designed to adapt to broadcaster needs without compromising control or resilience.

Calrec’s new v1.4 Argo software introduces enhanced routing strip functionality. It also enables Argo Q to support two sets of custom wild panels per section. A new Tiles feature allows fully customisable up-stand meter layouts with thumbnails, and the mix minus workflow has been streamlined. It also adds the ability to select a different output when fader closed to when it’s open and allows users to ‘interrogate’ the console to access routing information of buses being used for a path’s main output.

Additional updates include DAW control of MIDI on the Argo platform, improved NMOS control, enhanced status updates and monitoring and integration with Calrec Connect.
