NAB 2025: Evertz launches cloud-centric live media workflows with evertz.io–Xchange

At NAB 2025, Evertz will launch evertz.io-XChange for advanced management of live streaming workflows across globally distributed edge devices. Visitors will experience for the first time how evertz.io-XChange can make it faster and easier to configure, control, process and monitor geographically distributed encoding/decoding edge devices from an advanced and centralised cloud control centre.

Key features of evertz.io-XChange include ease-of-use using automatic edge device on-boarding through highly secure ‘phone home’ and registration capabilities; support for popular transport protocols such as SRT, RIST and ZIXI; real-time stream routing and replication of any input to any output destination; and support for advanced stream processing and grooming, utilising a broad range of processing micro-services

It also offers advanced stream health monitoring using comprehensive stream telemetry and thumbnails; optimised graphical topology view to control stream configuration, routing, replication, monitoring and processing; and deep integration with other evertz.io services, such as evertz.io-Stream and multi-viewing, delivering end-to-end solutions for live sports, dynamic news workflows, remote production and more.

“With the addition of the XChange service within evertz.io, we have added the ability to efficiently manage live streaming workflows to the evertz.io platform”, said Dan Turow, SVP of media distribution and CIO at Evertz, “By utilising evertz.io-XChange media organisations can manage globally distributed live feeds, reduce production times/latency and reduce operational expenditures. Support for SRT/RIST/ZIXI protocols delivers the broad interoperability demanded in today’s changing environment.”
