Abekas Debuts Tria Three-Channel Video Server

Abekas (Booth SL6313) has introduced a three-channel video server designed to be a companion to any production switcher.

Tria’s “three-channel” playback architecture features a dedicated “VKA” (video+key+audio) output channel, with two additional video+audio output channels. It also offers a digital video input for recording clips, as well as a built-in Media File Import tool supporting a wide array of file codecs and wrappers.

The server offers native JPEG 2000 recording with user-selectable bitrates up to 200 Mbps. High-quality recordings are especially needed for graphical animated switcher transitions, which are increasingly intricate and complex. Tria uses SSDs configured as RAID-1 for clip storage; they are removable and can be quickly and easily exchanged to transport clip content from one Tria server to another.

Tria will also be on display at the Sony booth (C11001).
