FUJIFILM Showcases Online Storage, Digital Cameras, Color Management
Among the products and services on exhibit by FUJIFILM North America are optics, a new online storage service, X-Series digital cameras, and a color-management tool for motion-picture film. FUJIFILM Optical Devices Division is in booth C7525; FUJIFILM Recording Media USA, Booth SL13010.
The Optical Devices Division is featuring a variety of new high-quality FUJINON lenses and products. Two high-performance lenses, the Premier PL 85-300 Cabrio lens (model ZK3.5×85) and the XA99x8.4 UltraWide field production lens, are making their NAB debut. Although the PL 85-300 is similar in size and weight as the PL 19-90mm Cabrio (model ZK4.7×19), its longer focal length suits it to shooting documentaries, nature and wildlife, and commercials. Designed with the latest optical-simulation technology, the PL 85-300 Cabrio offers exceptional optical performance not only in the center of the image but in the corners of the frame as well. The entire range of Premier PL 4K+ cine lenses —14.5-45mm T2.0, 18-85mm T2.0, 24-180mm T2.6, and 75-400mm T2.8-T3.8 — is on display.
The new XA99x UltraWide lens is suited to producing live sports and entertainment events. One is being exhibited with an enhanced version of Precision Focus Assist (PF), marking the first time this model has incorporated PF technology. PF automatically adjusts focus, ensuring fast and accurate focus of HD images under varying conditions. The XA99x8.4 features a newly developed, patented image-stabilization technology for the rock-steady performance critical to long-distance HD shots. High-resolution 16-bit encoders are standard, suiting it to virtual, robotic, and digital signage, among other applications. FUJINON’s exclusive GO-TECHnology improves image resolution and reduces chromatic aberrations at all focal lengths.
FUJIFILM Recording Media USA is featuring its Permivault online storage service, which gives users the option of both on-premise storage and cost-effective offsite archiving for secure, long-term data protection, replication, and disaster recovery. Permivault’s secure storage architecture is powered by Crossroads Systems’ StrongBox enterprise-level storage solution, which leverages Linear Tape File System (LTFS) technology to offer the scalability and economy of tape with the speed and accessibility of disk.
For NAB 2013, Fujifilm has created specially priced Permivault offers designed to meet the needs of businesses looking for reliable data protection and archiving. These offers are available through June 3.
FUJIFILM North America’s Electronic Imaging Division is showcasing its professional-grade FUJIFILM X-Series digital cameras. Added to the lineup are the newly announced X100S and X20 premium digital cameras and the high-performance X-E1 and X-Pro1 interchangeable-lens–system cameras that use a selection of XF lenses.
FUJIFILM is also exhibiting its flagship long-zoom FinePix HS50EXR and FinePix SL1000 bridge-style cameras featuring telephoto capabilities and a wide range of shooting features in an all-in-one, easy-to-use design.
FUJIFILM North America is introducing the IS-mini color-management tool, which takes incoming HD-SDI digital video and converts the color information via two sets of 1D LUTs and 3D LUTs to both HS-SDI and HDMI outputs in record time while delivering high-quality imaging. Also on exhibit is the CCBOXX (Image Processing System IS-100), an ACES-based on-set color-management solution offering precision and flexibility. Cinematographer Dean Cundey ASC will be available in the booth on Tuesday for Q&As, autographs, and demonstrations.
