JVC Showcases 4K, Full HD Monitors

JVC Professional Products (Booth C4314), a division of JVC Americas, is highlighting new monitors for studio and field applications.

The PS-840UD Professional Series ProVérité 4K 84-in. LCD monitor features a native screen resolution of 3840×2160 — four times that of Full HD — and 60p display capability.

The GM-552DU Full HD 55-in. LCD monitor is designed for 24/7 continuous operation. Suited for broadcast facilities, including studio control rooms, master-control applications, and security monitoring centers, it provides 1920×1080 resolution and a 4000:1 contrast ratio.

The new DT-F9L5U 8.2-in. Verité broadcast-studio monitor/viewfinder has an Anton/Bauer Gold Mount battery plate and tripod-mount hardware. The compact HD field monitor is suited for location shoots but also includes focus assist and zebra functions, as well as front and rear tally lamps, for viewfinder applications.

In other news, Scripps Media, part of the E.W. Scripps Co., has deployed more than 40 JVC GY-HM650 ProHD mobile news cameras across its 14 full-power television stations. The broadcaster is standardizing on the GY-HM650 for multimedia journalist operations but is also using its new cameras for commercial production and syndicated programming.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has ordered 25 JVC GY-HM790 ProHD shoulder-mount ENG cameras and nine GY-HM650 ProHD mobile news cameras, which will be distributed across six stations for local news and commercial production. The cameras will be primarily used to expand ENG camera fleets.
