Linear Acoustic AERO.2000 Loudness Manager, LQ-1 Loudness Meter Debut

Linear Acoustic is showing and shipping two new offerings for the digital television audio market at this year’s show: The AERO.2000 Audio/Loudness Manager and the LQ-1 Loudness Meter. AERO.2000 is the successor to the highly successful AERO.air and offers AEROMAX loudness control for 16-channels of audio (5.1+2+Local and 2+2+Local) in two independent instances, UPMAX II upmixing/downmixing, ITU-R BS.1770-3 metering, and optional Dolby encoding/decoding and Nielsen® Watermarking. It also utilizes patented Linear Acoustic Intelligent Dynamics™ hybrid metadata processing. In addition, professional audio metadata can be applied to AERO.2000 to minimize processing and control functions, or, traditional AEROMAX processing and industry-standard UPMAX-II upmixing can be employed.

A comprehensive TCP/IP remote control is included, providing full adjustment, ITU-R BS.1770-3 meters for all programs, return audio for remote monitoring, and an HTTP server for get/set control. Compensating video delay and dual redundant power supplies are standard.

And also new is LQ-1 for metering. The brand-new LQ-1 is a simple, accurate, and flexible loudness meter featuring ITU-R BS.1770-1/2/3 standards and selectable Dolby Dialogue Intelligence automatic speech gating. Dolby Digital/Plus/E decoding is standard. Its compact size and rugged build quality make it a great choice for cramped edit bays and OB trucks.
