NAB 2013: Deluxe Entertainment To Launch Next-Gen Cloud-Based Playout Platform

Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, an international provider of a broad range of entertainment industry services and technologies, will launch its new cloud-based MediaCloud playout platform at NAB 2013.  MediaCloud joins the company’s ecosystem of services geared to simplify the media landscape by increasing efficiency while reducing costs.

Global Launch of Deluxe MediaCloud

NAB 2013 will see the launch of Deluxe MediaCloud, a next generation, cloud-based playout platform and associated suite of services. Deluxe MediaCloud delivers all of the rich functionality required by broadcasters to launch and operate TV channels, including versioning for new media platforms and distribution over IP to transmission headends. Significant benefits include low upfront, infrastructure, technology, and staffing costs in playout and distribution that result in considerable savings and a quicker path to profitability. Deluxe MediaCloud facilitates very fast time-to-launch whilst retaining and increasing creative opportunities, such as “Pop Up” channels, that enable broadcasters and content owners to fully exploit rights for brands and major events.

Deluxe MediaCloud delivers in full HD, with network resilience integrated into the architecture and security levels that rival those found in major banks and military operations. Full disaster recovery is implicit within the service offering.

“Deluxe has been an innovator for nine decades and that tradition continues with the launch of Deluxe MediaCloud,” commented Maurizio Cimelli, managing director, Deluxe MediaCloud . “A result of substantial R&D and significant investment, MediaCloud furnishes a revolutionary and flexible playout and distribution service that provides the quality and assurance customers rightly expect from Deluxe.”

Deluxe MediaCloud offers a warranted service from an organisation whose heritage is based on faultless management of media assets. The service, available now, is already in use by major broadcasters.
