NAB 2013: Merging Pyramix 8 with Ravenna support

Merging Technologies – which is also due to exhibit at Prolight + Sound in early April – approaches this year’s NAB having experienced a successful 2012 distinguished in particular by the launch of the Horus Networked Audio Converter.

New/recent developments to be showcased at both events include Pyramix 8’s native support of Ravenna audio over IP for use with both its MassCore and Native systems. Ravenna allows users to interchange real-time audio streams across (properly managed) standard Layer 3 networks. This new connectivity is what allows for ultra-low latency interaction with the Horus converter.

Merging will also draw attention to new features for Ovation, with V4.0 incorporating audio recording to Cue, CD import to Cue, auto-import from removable devices, marker rule improvements, Dataton WATCHOUT synchronisation, show templates, mixer improvements and Cue pinning.

Fresh features have also been added to the video tool for audio post applications, VCube. The V4.0 release delivers improved auto-edit and media file handling, as well as batch render.

Finally, with new loudness compliance regulations coming into effect around the world, Merging will showcase batch wrap processing tool MXFix. Features of the V2 edition include output channel reordering, two-pass loudness correction tool, BWAV file support, continuous watch updates and 24 channels of audio support, continuous Watch updates, and 24 channels of audio support.
