Primestream To Speak at Connected Media World

Connected Media World, a brand-new destination at the 2013 NAB Show, focuses on the connected-consumer experience. At the Cisco CMW Daily Keynote presentation, “It’s Time To Digitize, Manage, and Automate,” Primestream’s Warren Arenstein will talk about how Primestream (Booth SL6824) and Cisco are transforming the broadcast landscape with media-asset management and production automation. The presentation will be held April 10 at 10 a.m. in North Hall A613.

It’s impossible to envision a future where a media company can be successful without a comprehensive system to digitize and control its assets. Content creators today require the ability to control their workflow from acquisition of media, to management, and all the way through to playout and archive. The word broadcast is a construct of the past. Today’s content providers are in effect mass-narrowcasters, creating and disseminating an ever-increasing array of content to an ever-increasing spectrum of platforms. One two-minute segment will end up as part of an evening news broadcast, as a standalone piece available on the Internet, and as a file available on mobile devices — accessed in 10,000 Internet searches.
