Ross Video Adds Squeezeback MC1 Master-Control Switcher
Ross Video (Booth N3808) is showcasing new features for its MC1 master-control switcher, including on-air 2D squeezeback, voiceover audio mixing, and new EAS interfaces. All of these new features are available at no charge to existing MC1 customers through a simple software upgrade.
The MC1 is a complete master-control switcher on a single openGear card. It is fully featured and includes video mixing and keying, onboard animated logo storage and playout, relay program bypass protection, 16 channels of audio mixing, EAS and Amber Alert crawl generation, and more. It is designed to be integrated with virtually any plant routing system, in turn gaining direct access to router sources and offering easy integration with the customer’s choice of automation system. An intuitive touchscreen control panel allows manual operator intervention when required.
Also new to MC1 is the ability to be used with or without a routing matrix, which makes MC1 suitable for cost-effective standalone add-ons to existing systems, performing squeezeback effects, EAS insertion, audio and voiceover, or standalone branding and keying in situations when a full-blown master-control switcher is not required.
