NAB 2016: Brainstorm To Demo Infinity Set at Virtual Studio Theater
Brainstorm Multimedia (booth 4617), a manufacturer of real-time 3D graphics and virtual studio solutions, will roll out a 24-ft. virtual studio theater at NAB. The company will showcase a virtual presentation called “From Leonardo to Ricardo”, which will provide a short history of the virtual world from its origins in the 15th Century to the present day. With a theater presentation, the veteran Spanish company will demonstrate the new features of Brainstorm’s virtual set application, the Infinity Set, that are included in the patented TrackFree Technology.
Infinity Set’s hands tracking feature – which enables presenters to trigger animations and graphics with the simple movement of their hands – is part of the TrackFree Technology, which is unique to Brainstorm and which offers tracking capabilities without any external hardware required. TrackFree features a TeleTransporter, Brainstorm’s ‘virtual traveler’ feature that debuted during last year’s NAB show. The 3D Presenter is another unique TrackFree-based feature that generates a true 3D representation of the live presenter. This enables him or her to cast virtual shadows and reflections over other real and 3D objects within the virtual environment, enhancing the realism of the program content. Brainstorm aims to offer the versatility of tracking environments but without the complexity and at the much lower cost of a trackless solution. Visitors will be able to enter the theater themselves in order to experience the virtual world first-hand thanks to the Laboratory Space that will be set up in the Brainstorm green screen presentation area.
Brainstorm will also showcase Aston 3D, its 3D graphics and CG solution, which is full integrated with Infinity Set. Operators can now edit Aston templates directly in the Infinity Set’s virtual set, enhancing flexibility and speed in the already adaptable system. Furthermore, Aston 3D is now fully compatible with both Photoshop and After Effects.
Aston Elections, Brainstorm’s cost-effective elections graphics solution, will be also be displayed. Thanks to over 20 years of experience in elections projects, Brainstorm has created an application that offers a reliable and eye-catching elections graphics solution at a fraction of the usual cost and that requires no training or previous experience. Aston Elections users can have a fully functional elections project ready to go on-air after just one day of preparation. Broadcasters in needof high-end elections solutions will also be able to hire Brainstorm’s production services which have served key elections projects with broadcasters such as NBC, TVE and the BBC.
Brainstorm’s family range of products will be completed with the demonstration of eStudio V14, the latest version of its render engine.
