Ateme, BCE and Scaleway join forces to deliver Europe’s first end‑to‑end sovereign cloud media supply chain

Ateme, Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) and Scaleway have partnered to deliver a fully sovereign, cloud‑based media supply chain, covering the entire content lifecycle from ingest to monetised streaming.

Building on the recently announced collaboration between BCE and Scaleway, this expanded partnership integrates Ateme’s advanced video processing, delivery and monetisation capabilities.

Together, the three companies provide broadcasters, content owners and service providers with a production-ready, cloud-native media solution designed and operated entirely in Europe. They will offer an end‑to‑end suite of services covering every stage of the media lifecycle, from content acquisition and ingest, to processing, encoding and packaging, content management chain, broadcast distribution and streaming at scale across all platforms, and monetisation through dynamic ad insertion and targeted advertising.

The joint offering is designed to address the most demanding requirements of today’s media industry, including performance, scalability, reliability, and full compliance with European sovereignty and data protection requirements.

Together, the three companies say they provide a credible European alternative to non-European hyperscalers, aligned with growing market demand for transparency, control and long-term digital independence.

The partnership is also designed to accelerate the adoption of AI, GenAI and agentic AI-driven value-added services across the media supply chain, including intelligent content processing, automated workflows, metadata enrichment, audience personalisation, and advanced monetisation optimisation.

Remi Beaudouin, chief strategy officer, Ateme, said: “By combining Ateme’s expertise in video delivery and monetisation with BCE’s operational excellence and Scaleway’s sovereign cloud infrastructure, we are delivering a unique, end-to-end media supply chain fully aligned with European sovereignty requirements.”

Sylvain Merle, chief technology officer, BCE, added: “This collaboration enables us to extend our cloud-native media services to a complete supply chain, addressing real production needs with performance and operational robustness”

Damien Lucas, chief executive officer, Scaleway, said: “Until now, European media companies looking to modernise their workflows had very few truly European options capable of covering the full chain, from ingest to monetisation. This is what makes this partnership so important. By combining Scaleway’s 100% European cloud and AI capabilities, Ateme’s leading video technologies and BCE’s operational expertise, we are creating a complete, production-ready alternative for broadcasters and content owners who want performance, control and technological independence without relying on non-European platforms.”
