Ateme launches cloud-agnostic Ateme+ software as a service

Video processing and streaming from Ateme is now cloud-centric with software-as-a-service (SaaS), following the launch of Ateme+. The service makes Ateme’s solutions available in a more agile business model, bringing transformative capabilities and cloud-based benefits to customers all over the world.

“We are increasingly seeing demand for more flexibility in content processing and delivery – in terms of both the business model and the scale. Ateme+ truly delivers on these requirements, while also ensuring the superior quality of experience our customers expect from Ateme,” commented Jean-Louis Lods, vice president of media & monetization at Ateme.

By adopting Ateme+, broadcasters, service providers and streaming platforms will only pay for the functionality and capacity they need when they need it, shifting spend away from capex investment and towards a more flexible and predictable operational cost model. With an easy-to-use management console, Ateme+ also enables frictionless onboarding, ensuring quicker time to value and lower overall total cost of ownership.

“This is the beginning of a new chapter, giving more choice to video service providers,” said Rémi Beaudouin, chief strategy officer at Ateme. “They can now choose between the traditional licensing model, software as a service, or a hybrid model where they mix the two.”

Ateme+ is a cloud-agnostic platform. It will be delivered using optimised compute including on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Supporting any resolution, Ateme+ is available as a subscription or pay-as-you-go service and is fully scalable according to customer needs, with built-in redundancy to maximise uptime and reliability.

The Ateme+ SaaS offering enables customisation options and provides a ‘single pane of glass’ management for configuration, monitoring, user management and key metrics. In addition, Ateme takes care of scaling the platform as well as implementing regular product updates to ensure customers benefit from a service that offers maximum flexibility and agility.
