AVT Launches social media interface for radio talkshows
AVT has launched a new social media interface for its MAGIC THipPro radio talkshow system. With the new software, the IP telephone hybrid device is able to send, receive and display social media messages to and from a show and it is available in the UK immediately though exclusive distributor Preco.
AVT announced an optional upgrade for its MAGIC THipPro IP telephone hybrid talk show controller that enables presenters and producers to view, send and receive messages via social media websites. Currently the interface displayed and demonstrated at IBC is fully functional with Twitter and Facebook is to be integrated within weeks with the other most popular social media outlets following soon after.
The social media interface for the MAGIC THipPro simply requires an account for the appropriate social media site, a PC with the AVT Screener licence connected to the internet and of course a THipPro unit. The process is then just one of following the standard PC wizard step by step guide which takes the user through the set up.
With extensive interest during the show from broadcasters, UK distributor Preco Broadcast is expecting not only new purchasers of the MAGIC THipPro to take up the option upon purchase but for those companies already owning a unit to take advantage of the upgrade to simplify the online communications onto and out of the broadcast studios.
As standard an AVT MAGIC THipPro provides a LAN interface and two analogue audio lines on XLR as well as eight digital audio lines (four AES/EBU)., a conference function with Mix Minus capabilities. Two handsets or headsets can be connected to the unit for its pre-talk functionality whilst call forwarding, a digital echo canceller plus AGC and expander for each of the caller lines also feature. Another very useful function the device provides is the ability to disguise caller voices at the touch of a button to protect their anonymity.
