Ben Dair joins Motion Impossible as chief product officer

Motion Impossible has appointed Ben Dair as chief product officer.

He brings over 25 years of experience in the media and entertainment technology space, having previously worked with Quantel, Avid, Autodesk, Harris, Technicolor, Snell Advanced Media, Grass Valley, Ncam Technology and Vizrt. Dair is highly experienced in product management leadership and has delivered many new products to the media and entertainment market.

Rob Drewett, CEO of Motion Impossible, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ben to this new role at Motion Impossible. With Ben’s experience and expertise in the media and entertainment sectors, we are excited to see where his years of knowledge and innovative vision can take us.”

Over the past few years, Dair has specialised in areas such as TV and film post-production, live broadcast, augmented graphics and virtual production.

Dair said: “I am thrilled and excited  to be joining the talented Motion Impossible crew. I believe MI leads the industry in remote roaming acquisition for feature films, episodics and live broadcast using its Agito dolly system. It is great to be involved with such innovative and cool robotics technology – and this is just the start.”

Earlier this year, Motion Impossible announced Nova, a new software update for its Agito remote control modular dolly, with new features including repeatable movements to the Agito arsenal and a more ergonomic and streamlined user interface for the remote control. More updates and new product announcements are expected during 2021.
