BFMTV launches monetisation platform powered by Newsbridge

France’s BFMTV/BFM IDF and RMC Sport channels have launched BFM Video, a joint platform to monetise their video archives.

Powered by AI and cloud media company Newsbridge, the BFM Video marketplace features 150,000 videos. Alongside the latest French, international and sports news is footage from as far back as 2005. Another 100 videos will be added each week and made available to purchase.

Morgane Marquette, head of the archive department at BFMTV, said: “The BFM Video platform is designed for audiovisual professionals seeking to elevate their projects – be they TV news packages, documentaries, web series, fiction or cinema. All content is indexed by our documentalists and grouped into intelligent ‘Collections’ using Newsbridge’s innovative Multimodal AI technology. This ensures that even the most time-pressed users will be able to quickly find the footage they’re looking for.”

Newsbridge co-founder and CEO Philippe Petitpont commented: “We’re excited to be helping BFM TV to showcase its rich video archive, and unlock a new source of revenue for the business. Organisations are increasingly looking for ways to boost the ROI on their media assets. The Newsbridge Cloud Media Hub and white label Media Marketplace makes this possible.”
