Broadcast Rental helps calculate EVS storage

A useful new app from Netherlands-based Broadcast Rental allows users to calculate exactly how many hours and/or storage they will need on EVS broadcast equipment to record video streams with the codec of their choice.

Calculations are based on the bitrate of the selected codec and 8 audio channels. It also provides easy access to the Broadcast Rental website for further delves into the worlds of product information, manuals and photos of equipment available to hire.

The app’s currently free and is available from the usual outlets.
