BVE 2014: Vizrt plans to augment reality

Vizrt will show new dynamic augmented reality and social content on Stand L05 at BVE this week. The company will highlight how broadcasters can use additional content including social media feeds or augmented illustrations to enhance sports, elections, news and entertainment coverage for upcoming events like the World Cup and Scottish Referendum. Visitors will also have the chance to see Vizrt’s file-based workflow for media asset management. Viz One offers a central repository to manage and deliver content to any platform.

Viz Social TV adds audience interactivity to any programme in realtime. It provides automatic tracking of social media activity, allowing social content such as Facebook posts and tweets to be shared by viewers both on-air and online.

Alongside partner Shotoku, Vizrt will demonstrate an augmented reality set with immersive graphics using its Viz Virtual Studio. The system helps broadcasters to easily create and control complex virtual sets with engaging graphics — even from traditional physical sets — opening new storytelling possibilities.

With the World Cup 2014 approaching, visitors to the stand can learn how Viz Libero can assist with sports analysis. Viz Libero adds 3D virtual sports enhancements to sports video content to create a new perspective for analysing interesting or controversial scenes.
