Cerberus partners with Tag Video Systems to provide real-time visualisation and monitoring capabilities for live events
Cerberus Tech has partnered with Tag Video Systems to provide customers with real-time visualisation and monitoring capabilities. This announcement marks the beginning of a collaboration between the two companies, which they say has already led to cost-savings and greater confidence in signal integrity for Cerberus Tech customers.
Livelink Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is Cerberus Tech’s live IP delivery network for 24/7 channels, sports, live events and production. Users can now monitor all signals on a mosaic configuration as opposed to individual feeds, resulting in reduced transport costs and bandwidth requirements. Because visualisation is in real time and full frame rate, customers can apply probing and analysis, identifying problems such as missing audio instantly.

The type of visualisation that Cerberus Tech can give to its customers with Tag is said to be dramatically improved over former capabilities. It delivers instant identity and confidence that the right feed is there and if any action is required, such as transcoding a feed to a different profile. The two companies are working to develop deeper integrations that will provide customers with rich metadata directly on their screens, and soon Cerberus customers will be able to use Tag for their quality assurance throughout the platform.
