Cobham Broadcast makes technical services appointment

Cobham Broadcast, the RF specialist company that uses highly advanced communications technologies to empower broadcast users, has further strengthened its broadcast technical support services team with the appointment of Sam Medler as technical services manager, broadcast.

Medler will be a direct liaison for existing and prospective Cobham Broadcast customers worldwide, providing world-class pre- and post-sale technical expertise. The appointment will further boost and solidify the high level of technical assistance that the company’s burgeoning worldwide client base already enjoys.

“Cobham has established itself as the leader in groundbreaking wireless technology,” says Medler. “Its broadcast products are designed and built on the back of more than 50 years of unrivalled expertise in data transmission for the most challenging of applications. I am thrilled to be tasked with maintaining, and extending, that pedigree of excellence.”

Medler has extensive technical service and project management experience, including international service and support; research and design of system architectures for video and data capture, storage and transfer; and technical cost/benefit assessment, amongst many other skills.

Cobham’s broadcast systems director, Stuart Brown, says: “Sam’s depth of technical expertise and first-hand, practical acumen will be a tremendous benefit to our customers. Medler’s appointment is effective immediately. He is based at the company’s head office in Whiteley, Hampshire, UK.
