Cuez announces new Automator integrations

Cuez has announced new integrations for its Automator studio automation tool along with updates to existing integrations.

Automator now connects to Canon PTZ cameras, allowing recall presets, switch shots, and trigger auto-tracking straight from Cuez.

The platform also integrates with Vinten VRC, a robotic camera control system built to drive pan, tilt, and preset shots on Vinten robotic heads and pedestals. Stored camera shots can be called straight from a rundown and there’s no need for a separate control surface.

Automator also now connects to the Tascam SS-R250N, a networkable solid-state audio recorder and player built for broadcast studios and fixed installations, enabling users to trigger audio cues, stings, and pre-recorded segments from the Cuez rundown.

Finally, Automator now controls Harmonic Spectrum X playout servers over VDCP. Spectrum X is an integrated channel playout server, handling up to four channels with onboard graphics, branding, and master control switching built in. Automator controls it over VDCP, the broadcast industry’s standard protocol for clip and transport control, so cueing, playing, and stopping clips works the same way it always has for automation, just from the rundown instead of a dedicated controller.

Automator integration updates have also been announced with Sony’s XVS switchers now covered alongside PTZ camera control via VISCA, adding automated switcher operation to Cuez’s Sony toolkit. In addition, the Chyron integration now also includes NewsTicker alongside Chyron Prime graphics automation, for triggering tickers straight from a rundown.
