DAZN engages Plazamedia for new live sports streaming service

DAZN, Perform Group’s new live sport streaming service has commissioned extensive production and signal services from Plazamedia. In this context Plazamedia will also provide production capacity in Ismaning and production personnel.

DAZN has set up an editorial, commentator and on air promotion team during the past months consisting of more than 100 people who will operate on the Plazamedia site. In parallel, Plazamedia will be handling the broadcasting of up to 20 live sports events. The new DAZN live sports streaming service is offering live and on-demand sports for virtually all web capable devices such as Smart TVs, Smart TV sticks und boxes, laptops, tablets, smartphones and consoles.

As well as the top European football leagues including Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, DAZN offers highlights of the German Bundesliga and second Bundesliga. In addition, the portfolio of DAZN also includes i.e. US sports (NBA and NFL), the German Handball Bundesliga, Tennis, Motor Sports, Boxing, Rugby, Ice Hockey and Darts.
