deltatre and DataStadium partner for Japanese digital sports market
Sports digital and broadcast firm deltatre has struck a commercial deal with Tokyo-based sports data provider DataStadium. The two will act as partners for the delivery of innovative sport solutions to enhance the digital and broadcast content offering across the Japanese market.
“Given its extensive experience with global industry players such as BBC, SkyperfecTV, BT, FIFA and UEFA, deltatre will help us bring state-of-the-art sport experiences in Japan,” said Yoshihiko Kato, CEO at DataStadium.
Under the deal, deltatre and DataStadium will join forces to help Japanese Broadcasters, Federations and Leagues to locally amplify their audience – and notably create immersive First and Second Screen experiences for sport fans.
”Together with DataStadium we will be developing new opportunities across a breath of sport disciplines for the Japanese market, with a combination of DataStadium’s tradition in data collection and our host of digital and broadcast solutions for sports,” said Andrea Marini, Commercial Director (International Markets) at deltatre.
Since establishment in 2001, Data Stadium has provided data collection and analytics for Japan’s J.League and Top League Rugby, as well as providing performance evaluation solutions for teams, clubs and players. Data Stadium also provides data and data driven sports entertainment giving fans new ways to enjoy the game.
