Domo Broadcast Systems unveils Nano IP mesh module and Sapphire RXD-5 HEVC receiver
Domo Broadcast Systems has introduced two new products, the DBS Nano IP high-efficiency IP Mesh module and the Sapphire RXD-5 HEVC receiver.
Designed to simplify how users integrate IP control into broadcast setups, DBS Nano IP covers frequencies from 1.2GHz to 6GHz, streamlining operations while ensuring high-quality performance across various broadcast environments.
Built around DTC’s SOL8SDR architecture, the Nano IP delivers high performance with up to 2x100mW output power, while giving users access to a wide range of COFDM waveforms, including the MeshUltra M platform for high data-rate transmissions.
Configuration is said to be simple thanks to a user-friendly front panel. Designed for broadcast engineers, it allows for seamless remote configuration and real-time network status monitoring. Additionally, the Nano IP can automatically search and discover existing IP Mesh setups with its autofind mode, eliminating the need for complicated manual configurations.
The Sapphire RXD-5, meanwhile, combines class-leading RF technology with ultra-low latency HEVC decoding in a compact, 1U 19in chassis. It offers advanced audio features, decoding up to eight stereo audio pairs and embedding them on SD for broadcast. In addition to digital output, the system provides an analogue output through XLR, ensuring flexibility in managing potential audio sources. Operators can remotely control the system via a unified web-browser interface, offering comprehensive access to all settings. The system is equipped with a responsive touchscreen display that provides immediate performance feedback, including real-time transmitter and receiver status.
Configurable for both day and night, the RXD-5 allows for use in any lighting conditions making it suitable for any environment. The system is also equipped with ST 2110 interfaces for users that require high-rate video over IP solutions, ensuring it meets the most-demanding broadcasting requirements.
