DutchView specs Axon for new 3D truck

OB and facilities provider DutchView has chosen Axon’s Synapse modular system for Europe’s latest 3D OB truck, due to hit the roads on the Netherlands and wider abroad in November this year.

The OB van is not only designed for 3D but is also fully equipped to handle 1080P on 3Gbps connections and kit includes Synapse 3Gbps embedders, de-embedders, frame syncs, up-converters and down-converters. A large portion of the equipment consists of the Synapse TWINS modules that provide for dual channel functionality, thus reducing the number of modules needed and hacing knock on benefits in terms of space, power consumption and costs.

The equipment is being supplied through systems integrator D&MS, which is also handily building the van.
