DVB World 2012 to go ‘beyond the second screen’
What technical and social developments can we expected in the short/mid-term future, and what will TV look like beyond DVB’s second decade? These and other questions will be addressed during DVB World 2013, which will take place from 11-13 March.
Both conference and exhibition will be hosted in a single convenient location at the Melia Madrid Princesa Hotel in Madrid.
DVB World 2013 will be open with a keynote speech by Greg Williams, executive editor of Wired UK, examining changes in recent digital technologies and consumer behaviour. This topic will be further explored from the perspective of public and private broadcasters, regulators, digital media operators and manufacturers.
Speakers will be drawn from companies and organisations including EBU, ITU, RTVE, University of Braunschweig, SES, IHS/Screen Digest, Octoshape, Orange, Eurovision, Global IP, Sony, HHI/Fraunhofer, NDS/Cisco, SNL Kagan, Ericsson and Dolby.
DVB World 2013 will also feature a pre-conference masterclass on video coding by Thomas Wiegand of HHI/Fraunhofer, as well as a number of companies showcasing their services and technology in a curated exhibition space near to the main conference room.
