DVS orders nine Phantom units
French super slo mo specialist Digital Video Sud (DVS) has chosen the Phantom v641 digital high-speed camera to capture some of the ‘premier sporting events happening in Europe this summer’. No one’s mentioning the ‘O’ word, but we think we know what they’re talking about.
DVS has an enviable record in the field and has provided slow motion broadcast coverage of the Football World Cup in 2010, ATP grand slams like Roland-Garros 2011, and Formula 1 Grand-Prix such as Monaco 2011, among other high-profile events. Currently, DVS owns 19 Phantom camera and provides on-site 24/7 support for super slow-mo cameras, slow-mo dedicated OB Vans, EVS servers and experienced technicians.
“We are very pleased to be able to provide DVS with nine Phantom v641 digital high-speed cameras. The v641 has become the industry standard in capturing many large sporting events around the world,” said Patrick Ott de Vries, Broadcast Business Manager for Vision Research. “Our ultra slow-motion technology won an Emmy Award last year, and an Academy Award this year for its high-definition, ultra-slow motion capabilities. We are thrilled to support and enhance such high profile events.”
