Editec adds X10 to fleet

The UK’s Editec has ordered an I-MOVIX X10, the new continuously-streaming ultra-slow motion system developed by the company, for addition to its rental fleet.

Steve Cotterill, MD of Editec said “We are pleased to be a part of the continuing I-Movix success story. Full integration of the X10 camera with the now industry standard EVS server is certainly going to put this hi-mo camera well ahead of any competition.”

Developed in partnership with EVS, the X10 system is used with an EVS XT3 production server under LSM control, well exceeding the performance ceiling of existing continuously recording super-slow motion systems (restricted to three times slower than real time, or 75 fps), to give 10 times slower than realtime.

As the industry’s first live ultra motion solution, the X10 system is designed to give production teams the ability to use it for continuous slow motion at frame rates far in excess of existing systems. The integration with EVS LSM workflow provides a consistent and familiar user interface and controls that any broadcast crew can use immediately, without specialist training.

The X10 system is a full broadcast-integrated solution, and includes the latest generation high-speed HD camera, a camera control unit, and an operational control panel.
