Emmy Award recognition for Media Links

Broadcast and network transport over IP specialist Media Global Links has accepted a Technology and Engineering Emmy Award for  Standardisation and Productisation of JPEG2000 (J2K) Interoperability, at the 66th Annual Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards ceremony.

Takatsugu Ono, chairman & CEO of Media Global Links accepted the Emmy Award on behalf of Media Links.

Through its pioneering work with the Video Services Forum (VSF), Media Links has been involved in aiding the widespread adoption of JPEG2000 as an interoperable and open compression standard for transmitting high quality content over IP with minimal latency.

Media Links’ MD8000 video over IP media transport solutions facilitate the transport of high-value media content and data over long distance networks. The company’s solutions are deployed globally and recently have been used to provide live content contribution for the Sochi Winter games and World Cup soccer.
