Entries now open for IABM Design and Innovation Awards 2014

The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) is inviting entries for the 2014 Design and Innovation Awards. The awards recognise new solutions that offer significant benefits or new opportunities to the broadcast and media industry.

This year applications are invited for nine industry segments with more awards and more winners. Companies large and small, specialist and non-specialist all have a great opportunity to receive well deserved recognition for their outstanding products or services.

John Ive, the IABM’s director of business development and technology, says: “These newly structured awards reflect the changes the industry is going through and allow us to open them up to companies large and small with products and services addressing a range of specific applications. The nine categories effectively reflect the broadcast industry pipeline from acquisition of content at the front end to playout and delivery at the other and give everyone an excellent opportunity for their achievements to be recognised.”

Entries will be judged by a panel of independent specialists chaired by John Ive. The application deadline is Friday, 4 July 2014.  Winners will be announced at the IABM reception and awards ceremony at IBC in Amsterdam on Saturday, 13 September.
