Epic Games announces AE Live as an accredited Unreal Engine Service Partner
AE Live has been officially accepted to the Epic Games Unreal Engine (UE) Service Partner Program.
Since 2019, AE Live has been utilising the power of Unreal to deliver graphic services on a number of major sports broadcasts. AE Live first used UE on BBC Sport’s weekly football output, delivering augmented reality content within its virtual studio environment. In 2022, AE Live again used Unreal to deliver a number of highly acclaimed virtual sets for Premier League Productions’ range of weekly programming for the start of the 2022/23 Premier League season. More recently, AE Live delivered AR content, again with UE, on NBC Sports’ Sunday Night Football show for a recent NFL (American Football) broadcast.
On being selected for the Unreal Engine Service Partner Program, Chris Izatt, AE Live director of innovation and virtual, commented: “To be officially accepted within the Unreal Engine Service Partner Program is hugely gratifying. We’re extremely proud to be able to offer our skills and capabilities to enhance and accelerate the work of the Unreal Engine community.”
