ES Broadcast Hire adds EVS XT-VIA UHD HDR production server to fleet
UHD broadcast rental specialist, ES Broadcast Hire, has added EVS’s state-of-the-art XT-VIA UHD HDR production server to its roster.
The XT-VIA joins the existing XT4K, XT3 ChannelMAX and XT3 options in ES Broadcast Hire’s line up of production servers, meaning the company is able to service a comprehensive array of client requirements. It will be available to clients across Europe and in the US.
“Demand for UHD-capable production servers is only increasing as more broadcasters begin to move into UHD,” said Warren Taggart, managing director at ES Broadcast Hire. “We always strive to offer clients state-of-the-art technology, and the XT-VIA certainly ticks that box. With its HDR capabilities and increased number of UHD channels, the XT-VIA is sure to become an essential piece of equipment as the UHD market continues to expand.”
Suited to live sports production, the EVS XT-VIA offers users six UHD HDR or 12 HD channels, and can be software-configured in either 3G- or 12G-SDI mode. The server can also deliver two 8K channels, making it compatible with recently announced cameras that can be used for UHD crops from wider 8K shots, to get ultra-close to the action.
The acquisition of the EVS XT-VIA continues ES Broadcast Hire’s policy of acquiring market-leading technology, positioning the company as one of the leading providers of UHD broadcast rental solutions in Europe.
