ES Broadcast Hire preps for major February sporting event

ES Broadcast Hire, the hire arm of ES Media Group, has spent the past few months preparing and sending out high-quality equipment for a major winter sporting event taking place in February.

The diverse range of equipment being sent out includes 250 Sony and TV Logic monitors; 145 ENG-style Fuji and Canon lenses; 75 telephoto Canon and Fuji box lenses; 120 Sony and Grass Valley camera channels; 150 Vinten tripod heads; and several miles of fibre cable.

Warren Taggart, managing director of ES Broadcast Hire, said: “The Christmas period might already seem like a distant memory for many, but our prep team was working overtime to get everything ready for a major sporting event in February.

“I’m incredibly proud of how all the offices have come together to get this project out to the clients, working collectively to ensure all the separate jobs required for this project happened – and happened seamlessly. It’s certainly been a real team effort, from Orlando to Watford, and Spain to France.”

Taggart is keen to point out that, once this major project completes, things won’t be coming to a standstill any time soon.

“Normal service will resume in March before we start getting ready for the second major sporting event of the year, a major football tournament taking place across the US, Canada and Mexico over the summer,” he added.

“Although much of this kit will be booked out over winter and summer, we also want to remind people that there will be a few months in between where we have more availability, along with an exciting second quarter capex purchase planned, so please do get in touch if you require any high-quality equipment.”

While ES Broadcast Hire has been an established name in the industry for some years now, Taggart said the trust placed in the company by its clients is something that will never be taken for granted.

“We want to say a big thanks to all those clients who trust us with their large projects and the amount of equipment we can supply,” he said.

“We certainly don’t take this responsibly lightly and always endeavour to provide a seamless, high-quality service to all those we work with.”
