Ethiopian public broadcaster opts for Marquis strategy

The Ethiopia Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) has contracted Marquis Media Partners to provide the public broadcaster with a five year strategy to cover all its areas of operation. The three month project, secured following a competitive RFP, will commence in September and will review every aspect of the broadcaster’s operation to ensure it is in the best possible position to respond to continuously evolving market needs.

Chris Gill, partner at Marquis Media Partners, will head the project. He explains: “From programming to HR, finance and marketing, right through to partnerships and technology, we will work closely with EBC and its staff to carry out an end-to-end analysis of operational models and processes, workflow and technical infrastructure. We will benchmark against best practice from broadcasters across the globe and provide recommendations to develop a bespoke, workable strategy to move EBC forward and to the next level.”

“We chose Marquis Media Partners because of their unparalleled range of expertise and experience working both the broadcasting industry and in sub-Sahara Africa,” explains Berhane K/Danemariam, CEO, EBC. “We look forward to working with the Marquis team to define the long-term requirements which will best address our future market needs.”
