Fabrizio Piscopo aiming for Sipra resurgence

The new general manager of Sipra, which is responsible for selling advertising for Italian public broadcaster RAI, Fabrizio Piscopo, is likely to be firmly focused on securing a resurgence in revenues as 2013 progresses. There is some task ahead with Sipra recording total revenues of 559 million euros in the first nine months of 2012 – constituting a reduction of 114 million on the same period (although specialised channel and web income rose by 6 million.

Morever, Sipra may not necessarily be able to count on some major sporting events in the near-future due to the present situation of RAI’s accounts. The organisation declared losses in the first nine months of 2012 amounting to 184.5 million euros – although this figure did mark a reduction on the 2011 loss.
