FC Barcelona’s final game at Camp Nou broadcast live and free on Viaplay UK’s YouTube channel

On Sunday 28 May, FC Barcelona played for the final time at Camp Nou before the iconic stadium is closed for renovation. To mark the occasion, Viaplay broadcast the game live and free on the Viaplay Sports UK YouTube channel.

The match against RCD Mallorca was an emotional occasion with the LaLiga champions staging a special farewell to their famous stadium, home since 1957. They wore a kit bearing the words ‘full of history, full of future’, with fans asked to wear either red or blue, creating a colourful backdrop to a match that was also the final home appearance for captain Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, who will both leave the Catalan club this summer.

FC Barcelona v RCD Mallorca was also available to Viaplay customers on the Viaplay streaming service along with Atlético Madrid vs Real Sociedad, Girona vs Real Betis Balompié and Valencia CF vs RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. A multi-goal feed enabled fans to switch from one game to another in real time to follow the most exciting moments in each game.

The newly remodelled Camp Nou stadium is due for completion ahead of the 2025-2026 season. In the meantime, FC Barcelona will play their home games at Montjuic Olympic Stadium during the 2023/24 season as they aim to retain their title. As the official broadcaster of LaLiga in the UK, Viaplay will show all matches throughout the season.
