Grass Valley IP camera system in Dutchview Infostrada’s Cloud Platform
A central part of Dutchview Infostrada’s new Cloud Production system is the LDX 86 WorldCam camera and XCU HD/4K XF IP base station for the complete IP camera solution from Grass Valley. On Sunday, November 22nd, the TV show Carlo’s TV Café was broadcast on RTL4 using remote-controlled Cloud Production. This was the first live broadcast to be televised using the technology. On November 23rd, Voetbal Inside was broadcast on RTL7, becoming the second live broadcast to air using cloud-based technology
“We’re very proud and happy that we could work so closely together with our R&D and the DutchView Infostrada development team to achieve the world’s first IP-based Cloud Production,” said Marcel Koutstaal, vice president, camera systems, Grass Valley. “Working with Peter Bruggink, CTO, DutchView Infostrada, and his team, was not only pleasant and productive — I believe together we have made a significant step in IP production.”
“I am proud that RTL has so much confidence in us and has embraced the Cloud Production technology—a world first!” said Peter Bruggink, CTO DutchView Infostrada. “While many media companies and broadcasters are working on remote production and video-over-IP, we have made a leap to a cloud platform on which resources are available on demand. Working with the Grass Valley R&D team from the camera factory in Breda was fairly intense over the last few months and I think we can both be very proud of this achievement.”
