Gravity Media expands its equipment rental team with two new hires

Gravity Media has expanded its equipment rental team by welcoming Ian Morrison as a client account manager and Leila Ghazzawi as a rental coordinator based at the company’s Southwood office in the UK.

Morrison is responsible for facilitating the end-to-end delivery of post-production and dry-hire broadcast rental equipment for key clients across the UK and Europe. In addition, he is focused on building strong relationships with a range of clients to establish new opportunities, while ensuring Gravity Media’s broad range of existing clients receive an ongoing quality experience. Morrison will manage multiple client accounts working across many of the UK and Europe’s most esteemed broadcasters, outside broadcast companies and studios, who collectively produce some of the world’s most watched content.

Having started in the industry in 1999, Morrison brings a wealth of knowledge across dry-hire broadcast equipment and outside broadcast fleet management. He holds a lifelong interest in film and TV having previously worked at Finepoint Broadcast for over a decade.

Morrison said: “This is a truly exciting time to be joining Gravity Media. I am looking forward to working with a great team and bringing my wealth of broadcasting knowledge to the company. I am extremely passionate about my work and look forward to helping Gravity Media grow its broadcast equipment rental client base.”

Ghazzawi will work alongside Morrison, helping to co-ordinate the delivery of the full range of rental equipment across post-production and broadcast rental needed for Gravity Media’s clients.

She joins the team with a variety of experience in TV and media, in addition to previously creating her own freelance projects from promotion to music videos.

Ghazzawi said: “I am excited to be joining the expanding Gravity Media team, to work across some of the most creative and technically innovative projects in the industry, working in a fast-paced environment alongside a talented team where I will continually develop and grow in my new role.”

Jamie Brewer, Gravity Media director – media services & facilities, commented: “We are delighted to be expanding our equipment rental team with two great team members who will be working closely with our equipment rental teams in the UK, France and Germany to meet the growing demand for broadcast and post-production equipment for our clients. We look forward to Ian and Leila helping us grow the equipment rental and post-production side of our business further elevating the extensive inventory of professional broadcasting equipment, facilitating provision of the latest and best in broadcasting technology to our clients across the OB, studio and production markets.”
