UEFA appointed Broadcast Media Services (BMS), a division of Grup Mediapro, to supply OB facilities for the host broadcast production of nine matches across two venues for UEFA Euro 2024. Mediapro BMS provided technical equipment and handled unilateral services for five matches at Frankfurt Arena and four at Leipzig Stadium.
The equipment provided at the venues consisted of four OB trucks equipped with the state-of-the-art production technology, including a total of 70 cameras.
Across 20 days of the tournament, encompassing the group and round of 16 stages, Mediapro BMS deployed 35 cameras in each stadium, strategically positioned according to the host broadcast camera plan defined by the UEFA Euro 2024 team. This production plan, produced entirely in 1080p50 HDR, delivered detailed coverage and unseen angles to audiences around the world.
The four OB trucks provided by Grup Mediapro were equipped with advanced production and live broadcast systems. These units ensured that all aspects of the broadcast, were carried out as efficiently and effectively as possible.
The success of this operation was driven by a technical team of 80 dedicated Mediapro BMS professionals, including project managers, video and audio technicians, broadcast engineers and camera operators, working alongside the UEFA team.
