Grup Mediapro produces and distributes the Basque Pelota World Championships

Grup Mediapro has produced and distributed the XIX World Championships of Basque Pelota, held in Biarritz, Bayonne, Bidart and Hasparren, for the International Federation and French Federation of Basque Pelota.

The group produced all the matches, played between 23 and 29 October, through a combination of conventional production using outside broadcast units, and a fully automated production for qualifying days. The flexibility of the production enabled the federations to produce more hours than ever before of the competition.

Group company WTVsion was responsible for the graphics during the Championship inauguration, semi-finals and finals, while Grup Mediapro also generated the audio for the signal in Spanish and French and distributed it via streaming to LaLigaSports, via satellite to RTVE and, internationally, to TF3 in France, Radiofórmula in Mexico and Deportv in Argentina, Venezuela and Cuba.

Eumovil, K2000, Overon, AutomaticTV and wTVision, all group companies, worked in co-ordination throughout the championship in which 400 athletes from 33 different countries participated.
