Hanford joins deltatre as Director of Technology

deltatre Media has appointed Jon Hanford in a newly established role at the company as Director of Technology. Ex-BBC staffer Hanford is now responsible for the company’s technological strategy and “vision for growth across all digital solutions.”

Hanford recently moved on from the BBC after 24 years, where he spent three years as Head of Technology for Sport and most recently as Senior Architect and Technical Design Authority for the BBC’s 2012 Olympic digital and online services.

“deltatre’s position in the sports media industry is unique and their focus on innovation and new technologies means plenty of opportunities to help the company progress even further – a challenge I welcome,” says the new Director of Technology, deltatre Media.

(And, if you were wondering, deltatre media was formed in 2002 and currently employs over 60 full time staff in London.  deltatre Media is part of deltatre spa, based on Turin, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. The group employs over 350 people in Italy, UK, France and the US.
