HbbTV topics to feature at BroadThinking 2015, DVB World 2015

The HbbTV Association – a global initiative dedicated to providing an open standard for the delivery of broadcast and broadband services through connected TVs and set-top boxes – has announced that BroadThinking 2015 and  DVB World 2015 will prominently feature HbbTV topics, speakers and discussions.

BroadThinking 2015 is organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and is taking place from March 18 and 19. The event has designed an agenda with a strong focus on HbbTV, including a broad range of sessions covering a variety of topics including HbbTV 2.0, certification, interoperability, deployments and more. DVB World 2015, scheduled from March 23rd to 25th, will feature Jon Piesing, director of standardisation at TP Vision, and vice-chair of the HbbTV Association, reviewing the new HbbTV 2.0 specification.

“We are pleased to see the prominent focus of HbbTV at BroadThinking 2015 and DVB World 2015,” said Klaus Illgner, chairman of the HbbTV Association. “HbbTV has strong momentum and an active community across the world. We’re honoured to share HbbTV insights and best practices with the broader community.  It is also an excellent opportunity for us to share details on the HbbTV 2.0 specification that has just been released.”
