Horse & Country TV extends distribution in Sweden via Telenor’s Bredbandsbolaget

Horse & Country TV (H&C), the international Pay TV equestrian sports and lifestyle network, has announced that it has joined the channel line-up on Telenor-owned Bredbandsbolaget in Sweden.

The channel, which is already on Boxer, Com Hem, Canal Digital, Sappa, Sydantenn and IP Sweden, also serves enthusiastic audiences in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, The Netherlands, Germany, and Australia. H&C can be found at channel number 65 on Bredbandsbolaget and is available in the T2 and T3 packages.

H&C broadcasts world-class international sport, behind the scenes, how-to programmes, and documentaries specifically designed to appeal to the passionate equestrian audience. Sports coverage includes all of the major FEI series (showjumping, dressage, eventing and carriage driving) as well as the Global Champions Tour, which features the world’s top 30 riders competing in some of the most spectacular locations. And Swedish viewers can look forward to highlights from many of the biggest domestic events including the Sweden International Horse Show, Falsterbo, The Gina Tricot Grand Prix, Flyinge, Malmö, Strömsholm, the Gothenburg Horse Show, and this year’s FEI European Championships in Gothenburg.

And for those viewers who want to see what life’s like at top riders’ yards and to improve their own riding, H&C’s flagship shows Hemma Hos and H&C Masterclass feature some of the biggest names in Sweden. Riders featured so far include Jens Fredricson, Alexander Zetterman, Anna Hassö, Jan Brink, Magnús Skúlason, Niklas Arvidsson, Pether Markne and Ludwig Svennerstål.

Speaking of the launch, H&C TV CEO, Heather Killen, said: “We are delighted to now be working with Telenor and further extending our reach in such an important market. Since launching our Swedish channel in 2013, we’ve consistently improved our programming with the addition of more local personalities and events.”
